The agency is very excited about this event and will continue to host similar events three times per year to honour the youth in our agency’s care. A total of six youth were honoured and had an opportunity to invite social workers, friends and family to attend. There were a total of 55 people in attendance including special guests. Each youth was presented with a Métis Sash, pin and key rope and will also receive a framed photograph of themselves and a small album of pictures All guests participated in a feast of bannock and stew, coffee, tea, soft drinks and celebration cake. Inspirational speeches were delivered by two young adults, Maria Starr and Darryl Caribou. Photographer Scott Stephens was present to take pictures of the youth, guests and others in attendance.
