Celebrating 20 Years of Métis Child, Family, and Community Services For two decades, Métis Child, Family, and Community Services (MCFCS) has been dedicated to supporting Métis children, youth, and families with culturally grounded care. As we mark our 20th anniversary, we reflect on the impact of our commitment to keeping families together, strengthening our community, and ensuring that Métis children grow up with a strong sense of identity and belonging.
Over the past few years, MCFCS has expanded family preservation initiatives, increased support for youth aging out of care, and deepened partnerships with community organizations to provide wraparound services. We have celebrated the success of our cultural programming, strengthened caregiver recruitment, and enhanced resources that empower families to thrive. As we look ahead, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide compassionate, culturally appropriate care that honors the strength and resilience of the Métis Nation.
